Germany pairs big-city energy with fairy-tale scenery, from the Brandenburg Gate and Berlin's nightlife to Bavaria's Neuschwanstein castle, the vineyards of the Rhine Valley and Munich's beer halls. An eSIM keeps you online as you glide the Autobahn, ride fast ICE trains between cities and browse the Christmas markets in December. With rail apps, museum bookings and navigation all on data, staying connected suits Germany's efficient, move-fast rhythm.

How much data for Germany?
Maps & messaging
≈ 0.5 GB / day
+ Social media & photos
≈ 1 GB / day
+ Streaming & video calls
≈ 2–3 GB / day
A German trip is light to moderate on data. A weekend in Berlin or Munich runs on 3–4 GB, while ten days adding the Rhine, Bavaria and a few cities sits well on 8–12 GB. Rail apps, navigation on the Autobahn and photos of castles and markets are the main uses — take a bit more if you'll be streaming on longer train legs.
eSIM Germany — Frequently asked questions
Yes. You'll keep data across most of the ICE network and along the Autobahn, with your phone connecting automatically to the best available network so you can navigate, work or stream between cities.
Definitely. Coverage in German cities is strong, so market maps, public-transport apps and mobile payments all work smoothly, even in the busy December crowds.
An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone. No physical card needed — just scan a QR code from your email or My eSIMs section to activate your plan instantly.
Compatibility
iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+ and most phones from 2018 onwards support eSIM. Go to Settings → About — if you see an EID number, you are compatible.
Yes — our plans are data only. Your regular SIM stays active for calls and SMS. You stay reachable on your usual number while your eSIM handles data abroad.
Most phones store up to 5-10 eSIM profiles but only one can be active for data at a time. You can switch between them anytime in your phone settings.
Data & Plans
Your plan starts at your first network connection at destination — not at purchase. Install at home, travel freely, your days only count when you actually use it abroad.
Yes — all our plans include hotspot at no extra cost. Share your connection with your laptop or tablet directly from your phone settings.
Single country plans work in one country only. If you visit multiple destinations, check our regional plans — Europe covers 33 countries, Asia 20, Worldwide 118 and more.
Yes — you can top up your plan at any time from My eSIMs. Important: top up before your plan expires, as top-ups cannot be applied to expired plans.
Installation
After purchase, find your QR code in your confirmation email or in My eSIMs. Go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM → Scan QR code. You need WiFi for installation.
Install it before you leave — it only needs WiFi. Switch it as your data line only when you arrive at your destination. Your plan starts automatically at first local network connection.
Yes — enable data roaming for your eSIM Agora line in Settings → Mobile Data → select your eSIM → Data Roaming on. Without this, your eSIM cannot connect to local networks abroad.
Make sure you are on WiFi. Each QR code works only once — if already scanned, go to My eSIMs to reinstall. Still not working? Contact us at support@esimagora.com and we will fix it quickly.
Payment & Support
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Completely — Stripe handles all payments and is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We never store your card details. Every transaction is SSL encrypted.
First check: is data roaming enabled? Is the right eSIM selected for data? If yes and still not working, email us at support@esimagora.com — we respond within 24 hours.
Unlimited Data
You get a set amount of high-speed data each day (e.g. 1 GB/day). Once you've used that daily quota, you keep browsing at reduced speed (1 Mbps) — never cut off. Every day, your high speed starts fresh.
Fixed (e.g. 5 GB/30 days): one total amount of data to manage over the whole period, at full speed until it runs out. Unlimited: a daily quota that renews, so you're never completely out. Ideal if you'd rather not track your usage, or if you're staying a while.
You switch to 1 Mbps (enough for WhatsApp, maps and browsing, but not HD streaming). It goes back to full speed the next day.
About every 24 h after your first connection (it can vary by carrier — not necessarily at midnight).
Yes — via "Add days" while it's still active (not expired). It adds days, not extra daily data.
Unlimited if: long stay, unpredictable usage, you want peace of mind. Fixed if: short stay, light or precise usage, you want the best value.
