Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install your eSIM — takes under 2 minutes.
Step 1 — Install your eSIM
Open Settings → Mobile Data → tap Add eSIM
Select 'Use QR Code'
Scan the QR code received by email or find it in My eSIMs
Follow on-screen instructions → tap Done
QR code can only be scanned once. Make sure you have WiFi before starting.
Activate at destination
Install before your trip. Only activate when you arrive at destination.
Enable your eSIM
Settings → Mobile Data → select eSIM Agora → toggle ON
Enable Data Roaming
Settings → Mobile Data → tap eSIM Agora → Mobile Data Options → Data Roaming → toggle ON
Set as Mobile Data line
Settings → Mobile Data → tap 'Mobile Data' at top → select eSIM Agora
Disable Data Switching⚠️
Settings → Mobile Data → 'Allow Mobile Data Switching' → toggle OFF
This prevents your iPhone from automatically switching to your regular SIM and generating unexpected charges.
Calls & SMS
Keep your regular SIM active to receive calls and SMS. Note: receiving calls may generate roaming charges with your carrier. We recommend using WhatsApp for free calls and messages abroad.
Important
Only enable Data Roaming on your eSIM Agora line — not on your regular SIM. This is the most common mistake.
